Today in cooking I was helping out to make scones with staff. One of my jobs was greasing the baking tin. When we finished we made a copy of the recipe to stick in our scrapbook. I then relaxed by listening to music on my headphones.
We have been choosing our own music in sensory this week, and we also played musical instruments, I played the bongo drums. In cooking we made pikelets which I enjoyed with butter. I made sure I cleaned the table.
I have been to sensory in Greerton with my friends from the studio. We had a game of snakes and ladders on the floor. I was also using a sensory ball, I enjoy the feel of it. My support worker from home brought me. I also listened to my favourite music.
I have been on a visit to Marshall’s Farm along with some of my friends from the studio. We all had a great time interacting with the animals. I got the chance to feed the animals, as you can see I am feeding the horse, in the other picture I am bottle feeding a lamb. The funniest thing that happened on our trip was a goat who jumped into the staff van in the front seat. Great memories.
We had our recent mid winter lunch at Arohanui Te Puke, and as it was held on a Thursday when I don’t normally come, my support worker from home brought me in. The biggest surprise for me wasn’t just the awesome lunch, but that Santa’s helper made a special visit to come to see us all, and he also handed out presents to all of us.
I was at sensory in Greerton with some of my friends, we had fun playing snakes and ladders. In the studio I had the building blocks out and I built a big tower. We also had a great time dressing up and choosing our own music.
